Advertising, election campaigns, a flirt in the pub ... Life is full of situations which seek to convince us of something. In this module, the student learns what persuasion is, what ethical questions are associated with it and how to become a persuasive person.
Self-confidence is extremely beneficial to your social relationships, career, achievements and even your mood. With self-confidence, you'll learn how to overcome obstacles and make choices without fear or self-doubt. Learn to trust in your abilities, experience and knowledge and not become discouraged after rejection or failing once or twice. Self-confidence helps you get the most out of life as you will have the courage to do the things you really want to do and not be held back by fear. Self-confidence gives you the ability to be yourself.
Who am I? Who is the other? What is identity? In this module, students explore different answers to these questions. In five weeks, themes are discussed, such as image and identity crisis, inter-subjectivity and authenticity treated from a philosophical, psychological and biological perspective, but also from practice. In a nursing home students visit people with dementia and pursue theater lessons where they experiment with truthfulness and sincere lies.
